Thurs., June 18, 7 PM: All-ages "Anything Goes" slam with music at Maple Corner's Whammy Bar! You may break any slam rules except the 5-minute time limit! (Perform someone else's work; use props, wear a costume, use musical accompaniment, etc.) Tiny venue, big fun. Singer/Songwriters and Poets/Writers go head-to-head for the fabulous prize. For this slam only, performers will have 5 minutes at the mic, and true to Whammy Bar tradition, longer "sets" if time allows after the slam. Consider this a literary salon with music where you might even collaborate with a musician or writer for impromptu performance after the slam. The Whammy Bar is in Maple Corner, 10 miles north of Montpelier on the County Road. Enter through the Maple Corner Store.

Fri., June 19, 6:30 PM: 4 Poets at Barre's old Matthewson School Building (on Elm St., near Aldrich Library). Victor Densmore, Geof Hewitt, Samn Stockwell, and Joanne Vyce will read their poems.
