Heroin has undergone a resurrection. A powerful opioid drug that was once only the scourge of inner cities is now widely available, cheap and being abused in our community. But heroin isn't the only story. In fact, prescription medications, especially painkillers, are abused more often.
All too well, we know of the devastating effects of opiate, prescription medication, and synthetic drug addictions. Just one person cannot solve the proliferation of drugs and their abuse; it takes a whole community to have a stake in mediating the problem and in finding counseling and rehabilitation alternatives.

We invite you to participate as part of town hall style forum and, if you would like, share your personal stories or observations on drugs. Join with the panel of experts for a thoughtful discussion that will include families, parents, educators, and organizations that focus on prevention and treatment.
