Green Mountain Oasis and Restored Balance are pleased to announce that the 4th annual Summer SOULstice Celebration will be taking place on Sunday June 21st from 4 – 8 pm on the beautiful grounds of the Bennington Battle Monument. The Summer SOULstice Celebration is a community based, heart inspired, health and wellness event created to bring friends and families together for an evening of music and fun activities all while supporting our neighbors in most need. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Bennington County Coalition for the Homeless. Admission is free!
Stretch out and relax on the lawn while listening to the foot stomping music of The Julie Shea Band, browse the many vendors with tasty goodies, sparkling jewelry, lotions and potions and much more…. The children will love our Creative Corner where they (and you) can make Peace Flags, Garden Stakes, decorate the Community Mural, add a thought to the Gratitude Tree or a design to the Chalk Walk. There will also be amazing Face Painting, a fun Family Photo Booth and Sunset rides to the top of the Monument.
In honor of World Peace Day, you are invited to join Fidel Moreno of Healing Winds at 5:30 on the lawn to participate in a Native American Peace Ceremony.
Starting at 6:00 you can take the Yoga Challenge by flowing through an invigorating yet meditative practice of 108 Sun Salutations. You are invited to participate in as many or as few as you would like with a suggested donation of $25. Finish out the evening by jamming or dancing with the Bennington Area Drummers. Bring a drum or shaker if you have one.
