We are closing off Depot Street for the Downtown Street Festival on Friday, June 19th from 6 pm to 9 pm. Come on down and stroll on that nice new pavement and check out lots of vendors, food and more. We have these special events during the festival happening: The Grassfed Boys will be playing bluegrass music from 6 – 9 pm. The Farmer’s Market will be in their usual space in Bandstand Park from 3 – 6 pm. A Vintage Motor Show in Bandstand Park from 6 – 9 pm. Lyndon Outing Club will have a Bouncy House fundraiser in Bandstand Park. First Congregational Church will hold their Chicken BBQ in Bandstand Park starting at 6 pm until the food is gone. Ellen Moore will be holding the finals of the NEK Karaoke Voice contest in the gazebo at Bandstand Park from 7-8:30 pm. The Lyndonville United Methodist Church will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs. The Fire Department will be there showing off their equipment and talking about fire safety. The Vermont National Guard will be there and have a baseball toss and kids giveaways in Memorial Park. XIP Training will be having Yoga Demonstrations in Memorial Park. Caledonia County Fair Association has a booth again. Area Banks, heating companies, political parties and schools will be represented. Home vendors like Scensty, pottery, jewelry, wooden crafts and Thirty-One bags will be there. Rural Edge will be holding tours through the Darling Inn and explaining their big renovation project at the inn. Food vendors include:" GJ Fries Food Truck and Beverage truck, Vermont Kettle Korn and Vermont Peanut Brittle. Many non-profit organizations will be giving out their information as well.
