The North Branch Cafe is happy to offer a short single-session class designed to help clarify the sometimes inscrutable world of French wine. The first session, which will be offered at 2 different times this month, will address the French system of naming and designating wines; will introduce the different wine-making regions, what they are known for, and which grape varieties are used where; and will address the question "What's the big deal about French wine anyway?" We will drink 3 different wines (over $15 value). This class kicks off the cafe's French Wine series--over the next 6 months, we will be featuring wines from all of the major French wine regions, available in tasting portions or full glasses.
