Please join us for the first in a series of presentations on Forestry and Conservation to be held at the Outdoor Center this summer. We’re excited to host Orleans County Forester Jared Nunery to talk about the effects of climate change on our Vermont forests. The presentation will draw from a report recently released by the State, titled “Creating and Maintaining Resilient Forests in Vermont: Adapting Forests to Climate Change”. There will be opportunity for questions after the presentation. Refreshments will be provided. Location: the Outdoor Center’s new lodge.

Watch for additional presentations in July and August. Future topics may include: Forest Fragmentation, Wildlife Habitat Connectivity, and Timber Harvesting Equipment and Methods. Let us know if there are other topics that would be of interest to you.
