Would you like to learn about an innovative approach through which Vermont communities began addressing future growth and development? On Tuesday Sept 10th, the Planning Commission will host a presentation about a new planning tool called FORM BASED CODES. The presentation will be delivered by Paul Dreher who assisted the towns of Huntington and Newport with drafting form based codes for these communities. All are invited to participate in the meeting, ask questions and provide input.
WHAT ARE FORM BASED CODES?
--- Form Based Codes are a planning tool
--- Form Based Codes establish design standards that guide how new buildings and public spaces are built.
--- Form Based Codes are created through an extensive community input.
--- The goal of the code is to create villages and towns that people want to enjoy.
