Red blood cells are 65% of the blood used in hospitals. Therefore to meet this requirement American Red Cross Blood Services are expanding the use of Double Red Cell collections. Requirements: Blood types A- B- O+ O- Male greater than 5'1” 130 lbs Female greater than 5'5” 150 lbs Benefits Smaller Needle Donation interval 16 weeks whole blood is 8 weeks Satisfaction knowing you are doing more to help that person in the hospital. Please consider this donation it only takes ½ hour longer every 16 weeks.

The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.
