Branch Out Burlington! Come learn how to identify our native trees and lots of other little known facts about trees.

Every year Branch Out Burlington! and the Burlington Parks, Recreation & Waterfront Department sponsor an annual tree walk. This year on Saturday, June 13 at 10:00 a.m., it will take place in Burlington’s Oakledge Park. This event is free and everyone is welcome. This is an easy walk and will take approximately two hours. Nancy Knox, Branch Out Burlington! Board member, will share her wealth of knowledge about the neighborhood trees and assist participants with learning the basics of tree identification. There will be plenty of time for questions too.

The event will take place rain or shine, so bring your umbrella.

We will meet at the lower picnic shelter near the entrance to Oakledge Park. The park is busy on weekends; we encourage attendees to walk/bike/take the bus or carpool if you can. Walk or bike on the bike path, or take the CCTA Pine Street bus to Flynn Ave and walk from there.

Parking info if you drive: free to Burlington residents with a seasonal parks pass for their vehicle; day parking fee: $6 per vehicle for residents; $8 for non-residents. For more information contact Nancy Knox at 373-4281, or visit our website www.branchoutburlington.org
