On Wednesday the Peace & Justice Center is pleased to screen the new film "Dirty Wars" at Merrill's Roxy Cinema (222 College Street, Burlington). This film is being shown as part of our Cost of War Speaker and Film Series. "Dirty Wars" follows investigative reporter Jeremy Scahill, author of the international bestseller Blackwater, into the heart of America’s covert wars, from Afghanistan to Yemen, Somalia and beyond. Part political thriller and part detective story, "Dirty Wars" is a gripping journey into one of the most important and under-reported stories of our time. More information about the film: http://dirtywars.org/the-film
Tickets are $10 in advance, or $12 on the day of the screening. If you buy 5 tickets, your sixth is free. Tickets are available at the Peace & Justice Center (60 Lake Street, over the phone at 863-2345 x 8) and at Crow Bookshop (14 Church Street). You can also buy tickets online by donating $11 or more for each ticket to the Peace & Justice Center (www.pjcvt.org).
