Crazy Quilting Workshop at Maclure Library

Past event
Jun 9, 2015, 6 to 8 PM

Join us as we learn from Charity at the Maclure Library for a 3 part workshop on Quilting. All skill levels are welcome and bring a sewing machine if you can, all other materials are provided.

Come learn how to crazy quilt and discuss the historic craft as a metaphor for community, mutual aid learning, and improvising through life's challenges! Come to one or all three evenings, Tuesdays June 9, 16, and 23 from 6-8 PM.
In this workshop we'll craft pieces to contribute to one collective product, as well as work on individual projects. Feedback on the experience will be deeply appreciated though not required. This pilot workshop will inform a developing expressive-arts group work method that I will be presenting as part of my MA in Psychology program at Goddard College in September.
