Just a quick reminder to everyone in the Central Vermont area - that the Barre City Farmer's Market is every Saturday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The Vermont Granite Museum hosts this great market on their grounds (the former Jones Brother's locale). It's a pleasant walk if you live in the north end of town. Of course our local commuter bus has a stop there, too. For those of us with wheels; there's ample FREE parking :-) It's a great children-friendly event/place, as it's so nicely removed from traffic. Spacious lawn to frolic on.
Besides the best in freshest produce, meats, baked goods, specialty soaps, and crafts - there is frequently live music too!
Some vendors are not at the Market every Saturday, so it's best to get the Market as often as you can - thereby standing a better chance of experiencing all that our awesome local Market has to offer.
When you're there, share your thoughts with the vendors. Ask any questions you may have. Something you're looking for, but don't see at Market? Speak to a vendor and let them know what you'd like to see.
AND Remember that Wednesday afternoon Barre Farmer's Market is back; 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Also at the Vermont Granite Museum.
It's the ultimate "Buy Local" experience. Check it out. Enjoy!
