As many of you know, for years we have been sponsoring acoustic concerts at the Four Corners Schoolhouse in East Montpelier, featuring some of the world’s finest players of Irish traditional music. We would like to think that many of you have grown to trust our judgement, even when you hadn’t heard the performers before.
This month we feature someone direct from Ireland. On Friday evening, June 12th we are delighted to present Brian McNamara in concert - internationally renowned uilleann piper, performer, and recording artist.
From a noted musical family in County Leitrim, Brian's numerous award-winning recordings speak for his prominent place in the world of Irish traditional music. You’d be hard pressed to find a more engaging performer, who is both a brilliant player and a wonderful personality.
“The Piper’s Review” wrote about him: “Anything you might say is made ludicrous by the presence of greatness. Just listen.”
