Volunteer Appreciation Celebration, Lareau Farm June 6

Past event
Jun 6, 2015, 5 to 10 PM

On Saturday June 6, 2015 American Flatbread at Lareau Farm will host a
special evening to recognize and give thanks to the many people in the
Mad River Valley who, in so many ways, give of their time and or money
for the benefit of our community. This is a public event.

The event will run from 5-10pm. There will be free Flatbread and
salads, and ice cream generously donated by Ben Jerry's. There will
be three musical acts on the back porch stage: the Anthony Santor Jazz
Quartet from 5-6:30, the Dixie Land Jazz Band from 7-8:30, and from
8:45-10 the Starline Rhythm Boys. Between 6:30 and 7 there will be an
open mic for brief public speaking MC'ed by Arthur Bennet. There will
be an art station for kids and for adults who from time to time still
think of themselves as kids, and a Ned Kelley bonfire. Various
organizations and non-profits will have information tables.

The event is free and open to anyone and everyone who has ever done
anything for someone else. Parking will be on the grounds - please
car pool, and kindly leave your coolers and dogs home.

We live in an infinitely better place because of the many and varied
ways so many do so much. Without this spirit of kindness and
generosity we would have either much higher taxes or live in a
community that was far less interesting and much less compassionate.
