Stowe Yacht Club is sponsoring a 3-day regatta this Friday thru Sunday. The venue on Friday is at the Waterbury Center State Park Where the "Big Boats" will race. These are scale models of the classic "J Boats" racing the America's Cup in the 1930's. These models are up to 9 ft long and the masts are up to 10 ft tall. Racing starts at 11 and will run to about 3pm.There is the standard $3 per person park entry fee.

On Sat and Sun, the venue turns to the pond behind the Commodores Inn in Stowe. The boats racing are scale models of the 12-meter yachts used for many years in the America's Cup. The model is 5 ft long. Racing starts at 10am each day, and will run until mid-afternoon. The weather looks ideal, so plan to stop by to watch these boats from the comfort of the Inn's deck overlooking the pond.
