Extending the Season Gardening Program

Past event
Jun 23, 2015, 5:45 to 7:30 PM

Few gardeners are content with the length of their growing season. In the far North, there's barely enough time to ripen tomatoes or melons. The good news is that by using a few simple season-extending techniques and plant-protection devices, you can shield your plants from extremes of weather, and stretch your gardening season by a few months. Lisa Coven from Gardener’s Supply will talk about succession planting and making sure your harvest lasts all season long.

The Friends will be there with a variety of gardening books for sale and will raffle a $30.00 Gardener’s Supply gift certificate to anyone who either likes the event on the Friends of the Fletcher Free Library Facebook Page or attends the workshop.
