TENNEY FEST: MORE THAN AN AUCTION
Yes, there are well over 200 items in the auction, but there's more:
BOOK SALE: Literally thousands of books, organized by topic, beautifully presented for browsing. 9-2, by donation.
MASTER STORY TELLERS, JENNINGS & PONDER: These Vermonters team up for dual narration of world folktales interwoven with Celtic music on the harp and concertina. Humorous and lively, of adult interest but children will enjoy, too. 1 PM, free.
PICNIC UNDER THE TENT: Grilled to your liking: burgers, bean burgers and hot dogs. Delicious homemade salads, drinks. 11-2, reasonably priced.
EMMY'S HOT FUDGE SUNDAES: We've waited all year for this. Slicks ice cream, Trustee Emmy's fudge sauce, nuts and whipped cream. 11-2, priceless but otherwise $4.
50-50 RAFFLE: Didn't get the Tower House in Italy? You might go home with cash in your pocket instead. Drawing after Jennings & Ponder, $1 per ticket or $5 for six.
*TENNEY FEST IS THIS SATURDAY at Tenney Library, Rte. 5, Newbury VT.* Silent Auction bidding closes promptly at 12:55 p.m. Proceeds significantly fund our lovely library and all it does.
