On Saturday, June 6th, the Second Congregational Church of Hyde Park will host the international vocal group Village Harmony. The ensemble includes college-aged Village Harmony veterans, many of whom have sung and traveled with Village Harmony for years. The program will feature Nordic folk music and kulning, American shape-note songs and contemporary compositions, South African songs and dances, and the French chanson Au Travail Suis and part of the Mass based on it by the renaissance composer Johannes Ockeghem. The concert starts at 7:30. The cost is $10 per person, $5 for seniors and students. Hope to see you there!
