THIS COMING SATURDAY, come down to St. Albans Bay for the RESTORE THE BAY 5K -- June 6, 2015, 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM -- as the Saint Albans Area Watershed Association hosts its annual 5K RUN & WALK.
THIS IS A TIMED 5K FUN/WALK along the shore of St. Albans Bay (Kill Kare State Park to St. Albans Bay Town Park). Proceeds support SAAWA's efforts to clean and restore St. Albans Bay.
DAY OF EVENT REGISTRATION AVAILABLE :
8:00-8:45 am -- St. Albans Bay Town Park (596 Lake Road, St. Albans Bay)
(but you can register online at SAAWAVT.ORG to save time and reserve a shirt)
TRANSPORTATION:
8:45am -- Shuttle bus leaves the Bay Park, transporting runners/walkers to Killkare State Park
5K WALK/RUN BEGINS:
9:00am -- Race begins at Killkare State Park
PRIZES, FOOD & FUN after the race at the St. Albans Bay Town Park. REFRESHMENTS: water, bananas, bagels & cream cheese courtesy of Hannaford Supermarkets. T-SHIRTS! for the 1st 100 participants to register
AWARDS & PRIZES: Awards for runners by age group & 1st walker to cross finish. All participants (walkers and runners) will have an opportunity to win bib number drawing prizes from our great sponsors!
This is a fun, family-friendly event as well as a great opportunity to check your time and squeeze in a quick Saturday morning 5K down by the Bay. Join us, and support SAAWA's efforts to restore St. Albans Bay at the same time!
