Parks and Recreation Dept has submitted a request to the Planning Commission for a zoning amendment to allow greater coverage of city parks, in some cases from 5% to 35%. The original plan was written to protect green space which seems to be diminishing all over Burlington at a rapidly increasing rate. We are consequently having water and sewer issues which are escalating and will in all likelihood result at some point in an enormous burden to the City and Taxpayers. The City has not given this the serious consideration it deserves. More building both in parks as well as the increasing infill of green space with expanding development is seriously taxing our infrastructure. Please show up at this meeting and ask the City Planners to NOT expand the abiltiy to develop until they have properly addressed our degrading infrastructure. From: Linda Tierney
