It is time for the 9th Annual Duck Race to benefit the Mt. Abraham Union Middle/High School Fall Musical. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the Mt. Abe main office or from parents of students in the play.
Here’s how it works: 1) Sponsor a plastic duck for the sum of $5.; 2) Get your duck’s number, and your ticket/receipt; 3) Be on hand (or not) for the Duck Race—to be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 @ 9AM at Bristol’s Sycamore Park south of Bristol. The ducks will be dumped into the river, allowing them to float downstream at the mercy of the current; 4) If your duck is the first to cross the finish line—pick up your prize of $500!! (You do not need to be present to win.) Other prizes will be awarded for second and third place. We hope to sell 600 tickets before October 1st. If you can help us sell tickets let me know!
This year’s musical is "A Christmas Carol" which will take place on November 21, 22, and two shows on November 23rd.
Each year the Mt Abraham Fall Musical involves over 100 students for three months of hard work. Students are busy learning lines and songs, dance routines, creating costumes, building and painting sets, and having a wonderful time with many new friends!
