Waterbury's NQID Weekend

One month from now, Waterbury will be the host of huge celebration all weekend long. Beginning 11am Saturday June 27th with the annual Not Quite Independence Day (NQID) parade along Main Street then followed by a weekend of full of festivities at Farr's field, 2.2 miles west of the village along Route 2. Both Saturday and Sunday, the first Green Mountain BBQ Championship will take place sanctioned by both the Kansas City and New England BBQ Societies, and offering by far the best of the best BBQ pit masters and Grilling competitors assembled in the heart of the Green Mountains of Vermont. While BBQ, grilled food and fine brew are the backdrop for the weekend, there will be something for everybody. DON't MISS IT!!! Food trucks, craft beer and cider, live music w/ Tammy Fletcher, Jamie Lee Thurston, and many much artists. There will be tractor jousting, family activities, rides and field competition, pie baking competition etc, etc. And of course Saturday evening the very best display of fireworks in all in the heart of the Green Mountains (the Fireworks parking gate opens at the field at 6:00 pm - only $5.00/car.
