Girls On The Run is hosting a lemonade/bake sale Thursday, May 28, after school from 3:45-5:00 (we'll try to be set up a bit earlier). Please stick around or come by for a treat!
The GOTR have chosen to donate their proceeds to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This is a meaningful cause to the girls because one of their own GOTR and Rumney student has cystic fibrosis (CF). The University of Vermont Medical Center (formerly Fletcher Allen) takes care of approximately 130 children and adults living with CF. CF is a genetic disease that affects primarily the lungs. Thick mucus makes it harder to breath and leads to life threatening lung infection. Exercise is essential to people with CF for maintaining healthy lung function...another reason why it's so meaningful that the GOTR have decided to support this cause.
