Tuesday, September 10 at 7 PM there will be a hearing of the Public Service Board in the MUMS Gym on Deerfield Lane in Middlebury. This will be a vital hearing by this board that is charged with determining whether or not Vermont Gas will be issued a Certificate of Public Good for its project. This document in necessary if VT Gas is to go forward with their project to run a pipeline south to Middlebury and eventually to other points including International Paper via Cornwall and Shoreham. There are many powerful forces in Middlebury pushing for this development. They will be well represented at the hearing. Those of us in Cornwall need to be there to represent our own views on this matter.
