This Friday, May 22 come join the Richmond Forest School's Open House to get an understanding of what a day is like for the Summer Camps and 2015/16 school year. Have your child spend a day out in the woods, engaged in community, the land, and the changing of the seasons. Your child will have the opportunity to participate in activities including nature study, wild play, team building, problem solving, earth connection, traditional living skills, and intrapersonal reflection.
The Richmond Forest School program complements the traditional school week with a day outdoors in a nature-centered, spirited agenda guided by children’s interests and curiosity. It is also ideal for homeschooled children, offering them a chance to connect deeply with other children, themselves, and the natural world.
Richmond Forest School is held in the beautiful woods of Richmond, Vermont where children can enjoy the rolling hills and forests as well as the swamps and streams. Your children ages 7-12 are welcome to come for all or part of the day this Friday. Bring lots of water, and sunscreen and sun hats because the kids will be outside!
