"Getting Off the Wheel of Suffering" with Pema Chödrön
Pema Chödrön is one of my favorite teachers because she is so down to earth and accessible to Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike. I thought you might be interested in hearing about this:
The Burlington Shambhala Center is offering a two-day program with a video stream of talks by world-renowned Buddhist teacher Pema Chödrön. It will take place May 30 (9 am --5:30 pm) and May 31 (9 am --12 pm). During this weekend program, we will watch Pema’s teaching on how our habits keep us spinning, and how we have the ability to stop this process at any moment by connecting with the vast, open space that is inherent in our mind.
Pema is known for her ability to convey the essence of the most profound teachings with ease, directness, and humor. The talks we will watch are a re-broadcast from a retreat she just offered in Vershire, VT. We are excited to be able to share these talks with the Burlington community. The weekend will include Pema’s talks, meditation, and discussion. The cost is $55.
