Hi neighbors,
I wanted to let you all know about Open Studio Weekend, happening this weekend in Randolph on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am - 5 pm both days. I will have my studio open at 57 Weston Street, showing my custom designed and built furniture featuring hand carved wood, local and non-local woods, hand carved slate, and petrified wood. Stephanie Tyler will also have her studio - Third Branch Pottery - open right next door, at 59 Weston St, showing her handmade functional pottery. Both buildings are at the far end of Weston St, on the right - look for the yellow signs.
And on Main St, Art of Vermont gallery will also be participating in Open Studio Weekend, showing the photography of Melanie Considine, as well as pottery, painting, jewelry, sculpture and other works by the artists they represent. The Vermont Weavers Guild will be showing their work at the White River Craft Center's Kimball House at 50 Randolph Ave, in a biennial exhibit titled "Reflections".
There will be studios open throughout the state. If you want to plan a route, you can download a map here: http://www.vermontcrafts.com/OSW/maps-directions.html But we hope you'll start your journey with visits to your local studios first.
Cheers,
David Hurwitz
