FRIDAY AUGUST 9th: Burlington Ensemble brings their Summer Serenade series, "Starry Night" to the Castleton State College Pavillion! This marks their first chamber concert here as Castleton Artists-in-Residence.
Come out to hear fabulous music and picnic under the stars!

'Doors' open at 5:30pm - bring your picnic! The concert starts at 7:30pm under the Pavillion.

“Starry Night” performance brings Summer Serenades to Castleton

CASTLETON, Vt. – Castleton College presents “Starry Night” as part of the esteemed Burlington Ensemble’s 2013 Summer Serenades concert festival on Friday, August 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Castleton Pavilion.

The celebration of “Starry Night” will highlight Concerto no. 2 for bass by Bottesini, music by film composer Bernard Hermann, and Mendelssohn’s Octet, Opus 20.

Performers incude Michael Dabroski (violin), Sophia Hirsch (violin), Elizabeth Reid (viola), John Dunlop (cello), Elizabeth LeBlanc (clarinet), Zoya Tsvetkova (violin), Letitia Quante (violin), Peter Sulski (viola),
Ariana Falk (cello), and Rachel Calin (double bass)

The concert marks the continuation of the Burlington Ensemble’s role as Artists in Residence at Castleton. They will present seven chamber concerts at the college over the next year.

Concertgoers are invited to bring food and beverage to picnic at the pavilion starting at 5:30 p.m., alcohol is permitted.
