DO YOU KNOW?

Do you know that sheep once outnumbered cows in the Mad River Valley? Do you know why all the town commons are no longer common? Do you know that the valley once supported about 50 schools? Do you know which movie star spent her Sugarbush ski vacations with local writer Ann B. Day?

Do you know if anyone ever froze to death when trapped overnight on a ski lift? Do you know who killed Jimmy Hoffa?

The answers are in four books that I authored over the past few years and will happily talk about at a presentation on Wednesday, May 20, at 6:30 p.m. in the Moretown Library.

Two photographic histories — “The Mad River Valley” and “Skiing in the Mad River Valley” are on the agenda, as are two novels that I wrote — “Moonlight in Vermont” and “From the Dead.”

The presentation is one that had been postponed from an earlier date. I look forward to seeing you there.
