Dear Robinson School Families and Other Starksboro Community Members,
As you may know, the Robinson School is hiring a new Principal. The Search Committee, (consisting of two Robinson teachers, a member of the support staff, two Starksboro community members, a Robinson Board member, and the Assistant Superintendent), have now reviewed all applications, interviewed semi-finalists, and chosen finalists:
Edorah Frazer (the current principal of the Isle La Motte Elementary School) and
Katherine Grykien, (Literacy Coach in the Burlington School District).
Members of the Search Committee also conducted site visits and interviews at the finalists’ current places of work.
On WEDNESDAY, May 20, we’ll be bringing both candidates to Robinson to meet with groups of teachers and support staff; students; school and SU administrators; and parents and community members. The Search Committee will be collecting feedback during those meetings and conveying that feedback to the superintendent, who will be recommending one of the candidates to the Board.
We need your input! If you’d like to meet with each of the candidates, please plan to come to Robinson on Wednesday, from 3:15 to 4:30, in the Robinson Library.
