The annual Girls on the Run 5k needs volunteers to support the event and the over 2,500 participants. It requires over 200 volunteers who generously serve as serve as course marshals, help with set up and tear down, manage start and finish lines, and more. 5k Run Details:
When: Saturday, June 6th
Where: Champlain Valley Expo, Essex Junction
What: Volunteer stations include registration, tattoos, happy hair, refreshments, clean-up, finish line helpers, water stations, course support, sweeper (walk course after girls), etc.
Time: Volunteer positions run from 7:30am-12:00pm (Different positions have different arrival times.)

Girls on the Run is a non-profit dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. Teams meet twice a week and learn life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games. Running is used to inspire and motivate girls, encourage lifelong health and fitness, and build confidence through accomplishment. At each season's conclusion, the girls and their teams complete a 5k running event which gives them a tangible sense of achievement as well as a framework for setting and achieving life goals.
