Tomorrow night, May 12, NMC is sponsoring a free community screening of an excerpt from the Ken Burns / PBS documentary: "Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies," followed by a panel discussion on the disease and its effects on our community. The screening starts at 5:30 at the new Vermont Department of Health offices on Federal Street in St. Albans and is supported by NMC's Cancer Committee, which encourages a supportive care system for cancer patients. The panel of speakers for this event will include Dr. Dennis Sanders of Vermont Center for Cancer Medicine, NMC's Dr. Mary Woodhouse, David Cranmer of the Vermont Cancer Survivor Network, NMC Social Worker Christina Latson and Susie McNamara of Survivorship NOW.
