Stand up to illegal dumping! Fight the "over-the-bank" attitude about garbage and help us clean up this lovely, historically significant spot. Indian massacre Rd. overlooks the Hoosic River and is a favorite of walkers, birders, cyclists, and unfortunately, illegal dumpers. We'll haul out tires, mattresses, fridges, sinks, TVs and other polluting trash. Pownal Highway Dept. and NY's Renselaer County will pick up anything we get to the road. Wear tough, light colored clothes, work gloves and strong boots. Bring water, lunch and tools like clippers. We hope to have a tractor with chains, but more are welcome.
