This is to let everyone know that the Annual Food Drive that the Post Office sponsors every May IS happening! Unfortunately there was an issue with the postcards that we usually deliver to homes this week, and since the Food Drive is this Saturday, this was about the only way to let the community know that it was still on. You can leave NON perishable food items by your mailbox and they will be picked up. If you live on a rural route, it would be very helpful if you could somehow hang the items in a bag off of your mailbox as it is very time consuming for rural carriers to stop their vehicles and constantly dismount to pick up food off of the ground. So please help out our local food shelf and donate what you can to help those in our community who are less fortunate.
