Announcing . . .

The 36nd Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale

It’s true: since 1980, our neighborhood (once known as Ethan Allen Heights and Ethan Allen Farms) has held a large garage sale on the first Saturday of June each year. It is a good way to recycle things we’ve found during spring cleaning and to also get to know each other better, too. In the past few years, we’ve also held a pot-luck supper as another way of building a sense of community among us. We hope you will participate in either or both the sale or the supper. (If you wish to participate in the sale, we’re asking for donations to help pay for a newspaper ad.) We’re looking forward to having you join us. Last year, we had people from a few months to over 90 years old join us for the dinner, and some people who have lived in the neighborhood since as early as 1950 shared some wonderful memories.

The Sale: Saturday, June 6, 2015, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Each participating household will hold its own sale. If participating in the sale: please bring $2.00 to Abbey Duke or Sue
Chayer at 82 Village Green to help pay for the ad.

The Supper: That Evening, Starting at 5:00 p.m.

In front of the George's House at 7 Brandywine Street (we’ll get a permit to block off the street) Please bring food or beverages to share, chairs or a blanket, and bug spray.

For more information contact Thom Fleury at tlfeury@aol.com 651-0978 or Carmen George, carmengeorgevt@gmail.com

P.S. if you live near someone new to the neighborhood, who may not be on the FPF, please fill them in about this big neighborhood event.
