Get on Board Windham County is hosting a Board Fair next week Thursday, 5-7 pm, at the Marlboro Grad School. Twenty local nonprofits seeking new board members will be at the event to talk with community members about their organization. This event is free for community members. You can drop in any time, visit the tables, and if you like, attend a short presentation (offered every half hour) called "Everything you need to know about board service in 10 minutes or less." Refreshments, door prizes and childcare on site.

Windham County nonprofits are seeking smart, engaged people committed to the betterment of our community. No board experience is required nor must you have deep pockets. Boards often need people with strategic, legal, financial, technical or business skills. They also often need good event planners, fundraisers, or "connectors" (people with good people skills).

Come learn more about board service, and see if it might be a compelling way for you to give back to your community!
