Barry Estabrook’s latest book PIG TALES turns the same critical eye to pork production that he famously applied to the tomato industry in TOMATOLAND. He explores the dark side of the pork industry and also the alternative offered by successful farmers who have rejected the drug-dependent and inhumane practices currently common throughout the U.S. Says Ruth Reichl ‘You will never look at a piece of pork in the same way.’ Barry comes to Bear Pond Books in Montpelier to talk about his book, his own experience raising pigs, and the process of changing the way America eats.
This event is free and open to the public. A book signing will follow the talk.
