HOUSING SUMMIT, Contois, May 20th at 7pm.
Discuss the pros and con's of the mayor's housing plan. Hear ideas about how to create communities of housing that preserve the uniqueness of Burlington's neighborhoods.
Keynote speaker, Tom Angotti, The New Century of the Metropolis. He builds on the work of community planning by neighborhood groups in NYC that are similar to Burlington's NPAs. Come think outside the big boxes! Bring ideas about how your neighborhoods could expand affordable housing for all. Check the housing plan to see how what is proposed would impact your neighborhoods and the city.
NOTE: Doors open at 6:30 pm. People with information about affordable housing alternatives that residents can offer will be available at tables to provide information and answer questions about accessory units, tiny houses, co-op housing, home sharing, and more.
