Winooski River Race and Ramble

Past event
Jun 6, 2015

The Onion River Race and Ramble on June 6th is an 10 mile float/paddle on the Winooski River through a scenic cut in the Green Mountains. We will start at the foot of Bolton dam and end at the green in Richmond. You can race or you can ramble, and this year there is a Community Teams category for any four-person team, using any combination of watercraft. Parents with kids welcome to join the fun, too. A great lunch is provided by the Richmond Grange at the finish, with music by Colin McCaffrey.

Not a paddler but want to join the fun? We need plenty of volunteer help with registration, time keeping, the post race event and general herding of paddlers.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Winooski River with support from Umiak Outfitters, the Vermont River Conservancy and the Richmond Grange. Proceeds will be used to protect and restore the Winooski River watershed. .

Sign up early! Space is limited and we do hope/expect to sell out. Check out the ramble website at www.onionriverrace.us and the event Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/events/744843048970545
