We will have the annual Northfield bike ride on the evening of the 3rd Wednesday of May, to honor bicyclists and pedestrians who have been injured or killed by motorists..
We will meet at 5:30 on Depot Square, in front of Bicycle Express, and will ride in silence about 6 miles south on Rt. 12A, to the Roxbury Cemetery. There, we will have a brief remembrance for people who have been lost in accidents, before riding back together. We will be riding at a respectful pace, and will welcome people of all abilities to join us. This will be the 3rd annual "ROS" in Northfield; other groups are organizing in other communities in Vermont--and across the USA and the world--for rides on the same evening. This ride is part of an international movement to encourage safety on the roads, for all users. We are registered on their website, www.rideofsilence.org
