Supporting Our Nepalese Community Members

Past event
May 30, 2015

As we continue to hear news of the devastation in Nepal, let us reach out and help support members of our St. Johnsbury community whose village in Nepal was virtually destroyed and whose family members are in desperate need of basic needs - tents for shelter, clean drinking water and food. Over the next couple of months there will be several efforts organized to send aid but there are three efforts already underway that you can help with. Our Sherpa friends have ties to many local organizations and businesses so they are stepping up to help - Rodd Roofing, Wildflower Inn, NEKLS and Milarepa Center all have fundraising efforts happening right now.

From Rodd Roofing and Wildflower Inn - a raffle with some great items including Red Sox and Patriots tickets http://jim3619.wix.com/re-building-nepal

NEKLS - is a collection site for any monetary donations. All the funds will be sent directly to contacts in Nepal to help with immediate relief. You can bring a check by NEKLS - 1222 Main Street, St. Johnsbury. They should be made out to NEKLS with "Sherpa Relief Fund" in the memo section.

Milarepa Center in Barnet is hosting a Pancake Breakfast benefit on Saturday, May 30 from 9:00 - 11:00. All proceeds will again go to providing direct relief.
