VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR TREE PLANTING ON THE WELLS RIVER CONSERVATION LAND
This May Wed 6th & Sat 9th Newbury Conservation Commission will be working with several groups including the Connecticut River Watershed Council, White River Conservation District,
We Need Volunteers to HELP May 6, & Saturday the 9th We have 300+ trees to plant, plus 1000 Willow stakes to put in the ground. We will be working with students from Blue Mt. School during the week and invite volunteers from the community any day.
Newbury Conservation Commission hopes that these efforts will help to improve not just the water quality, but improve wildlife habitat, and can be used as an example of good land management practice for the students of Blue Mt. and Newbury Elementary schools as well as the community.
Meet on Saturday May 9th at 9am at the end of Industrial Park Rd [ off Rt.302 next to BMU]
