The Jericho Conservation Commission begins its summer program of visits to natural areas with a springtime botany ramble "Fiddleheads and Fancy Flowers". The walk will be held at Mills Riverside Park on Saturday, May 9, from 9 am-noon. Three of Jericho's finest botanists, Dave Barrington, Cathy Paris, and Liz Thompson will lead us on an exploration of spring botanical wonders at Mills Riverside Park. We'll ramble along the river seeking fiddleheads, poke into the wet places to see what might be blooming, and climb to the upper trails to see some woodland wildflowers. The hike up the hill is steep in places, and possibly a little muddy in others, but not overly strenuous. Meet in the parking lot at 9 am.
