Green Up Day is around the corner - Saturday, May 2!
Join your friends, neighbors and co-workers for Burlington’s 45th Annual Green Up Day, this Saturday, May 2, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. To participate, City residents and other Burlington stakeholders can pick up bags and other supplies on Saturday morning at the Sustainability Academy at Barnes, Burlington Subaru, or Salmon Hole Park. Green Up Day bags are also available for pick up Thursday and Friday at the following locations around the City, during regular business hours:
- Sustainability Academy at Lawrence Barnes – 123 North Street
- Departments of Public Works/Parks & Recreation – 645 Pine Street
- Miller Community Center – 130 Gosse Court
- ReSource – 266 Pine Street
- CEDO – City Hall, Church Street, 3rd floor
- Burlington Subaru – 351 Shelburne Road
The Department of Public Works and Burlington Parks & Recreation will have trucks circling the city, picking up the collected trash throughout the day along major thoroughfares. Full bags of trash should be tied up and placed in one of the designated drop-off corridors.
