Dear Neighbors - I have just joined FPF so I'd like to say hello and tell you about our Open Studio coming up. We just moved into a studio at 12 North Street in the same building with the Young Writers Project and The Vermont Community Garden Network. We have been operating a folk music teaching business in Central Vermont since 1990 called Woodbury Strings, and have recently moved back to the Burlington area and are happy to be in this neighborhood again after all these years! We teach to all ages, sometimes starting as young as age 3 on fiddle, 4 on ukulele, and 5 on banjo. We also teach adults. Beginners are our specialty!
We are having an Open Studio on Friday, September 6 and September 13 from 5 - 6 pm (we are right next door to Waggy's). If you'd like to come down and meet us (myself and my husband, John Mowad) we'd love to have you stop by during that time. We'll have instruments for you to try out, and some free introductory lesson coupons. The event is free and there is no obligation to sign up for lessons. We'd just be happy to meet you and all are welcome. Children under the age of 12 should be accompanied by an adult. If you can't come to either of these events but would like to find out more, send me an email or call me at 223-8945.
Thanks! I look forward to meeting some of you. --Sarah Hotchkiss
