Officer Mike Thomas, of the Shelburne Police Department, has recently been diagnosed with Leukemia. He has been through the first stages of treatment and is doing well. With this being said he still has a long road in front of him. Currently treatment is occurring at the University Of Vermont Medical Center as well as the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center. In the near future, Mike will be spending a month in Boston at the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center. In an effort to support Mike, Cheryl and his family during this tough time, an all you can eat Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser will be held at the Shelburne Fire Station at 6:00 pm on May 27, 2015. The cost will be $8.00 for Adults, and $4.00 for children under 10 years old. Please attend to support Mike Thomas, Shelburne police officer, in his cancer journey.

If you are unable to attend and would still like to donate a fund has been set up at Green Mountain Credit Union. Donations can be mailed directly to the Credit Union at 4 Laurel Hill Drive, South Burlington, Vermont 05403. Checks should be made out to Officer Mike Thomas.
