You Can Count on Me (2000)

Join our growing Movie Club this Friday (May 1st) in the Otter Creek Room (around back in the basement, where the book sale happens). Doors open at 6 and the film begins at 6:15 after a short introduction, but come early as space is limited. There will be FREE popcorn to go with your FREE movie. After the film ends there will be a brief discussion for those interested.

This month's film is Kenneth Lonergan's You Can Count On Me. It stars Laura Linney, Mark Ruffalo (in a break through role) and Rory Culkin (the cutest of the Culkins). Roger Ebert gave the film 4 stars and said, "It's rare to get a good movie about the touchy adult relationship of a sister and brother. Rarer still for the director to be more fascinated by the process than the outcome. This is one of the best movies of the year."
