In honor of poetry month, we will be presenting the play “Dream Deferred: Past, Present, and Future” by Sue Morris.

*** Thursday, April 30, 7:00 at the Athenaeum, St. Johnsbury, VT ***

Dream Deferred is a compilation of poems by African American authors, a series of vignettes that build on each other, using the poem by Langston Hughes, A Dream Deferred, as a running theme throughout the play. The play presentation is sponsored by Occupy Central Vermont, the Vermont Anti-Racism Action Team, and the Northeast Kingdom Allies for Racial Justice.

The play will be followed by a discussion on racism.
