A training for parents, grandparents, community members and mentors to learn how to support our youth in being responsible digital citizens. Presented by Prevent Child Abuse Vermont’s technology safety specialist, this workshop:
Promotes adult understanding of both the benefits and challenges of having technologically-savvy children & adolescents;
Raises awareness of different forms of abuse that are being perpetuated on the internet (child pornography, sexual solicitation, cyber-bullying); Assigns responsibility for the safety and protection of children & adolescents to adults; Allows parents and professionals to practice responding to concerning scenarios and questions, using problem-solving skills.
