The Waterbury Historical Society will hold its annual meeting Wednesday, April 29 at 7pm at St. Leo's Hall 109 S Main St.
Local Historian Brian Lindner will speak about the 10th Mountain
Division, America's ski troops; the 10th was the key to defeating
German forces in Italy during World War II
Lindner will explain how the 10th Mountain Division traces its
roots to a broken ankle on the Toll Road in Stowe, and outline
the role played by Waterbury men such as Bill Mason in events
leading to information of the 10th.
.Also at the meeting, the society will elect officers.
The puplic is welcome to attend. St Leo's Hall is handicapped
accessible. Refreshments will be available.
